The K+K Central Hotel Prague is a find in the international world of travel. A nice place to rest your head? Tick. A great location? Tick. Gorgeous, unique art nouveau architecture that even enticed artist Rodin to stay? Tick.

We stayed three nights in the K+K Hotel Central, and were impressed by the attentive hospitality, the awe-inducing decor and our comfortable and stylish suite.

Quite the historical monument in Prague, the Central Hotel building was designed by Friedrich Ohmann as a hotel and theater space and opened in 1902.

The sumptuous interior with classic art nouveau touches, sweeping staircase, ornate ironwork balustrades, curved glass roof and glass elevator attracted international acclaim for its gorgeous design and for hosting musicals and theater at the turn of the century.

After deteriorating during Prague’s communist days, the luxurious interiors were expertly restored in 2002 and are maintained at a high level.

A relaxing bar and breakfast room, quality gym and sauna and well-equipped business facilities accompany well-fitted and comfortable rooms that are a pleasure to retire to after walking the cobbled streets.

Located literally metres from the famous Powder Tower and Prague Municipal House (the most photographed building in Prague) KK Central comes highly recommended.
